Finca La Hilda, owned by the Vargas Ruiz family, is located in the foothills of the Poás Volcano, Costa Rica, and is Rainforest Alliance certified, a guarantee of environmentally and socially responsible practices. In addition, La Hilda has practices in regenerative agriculture and constant innovation in small lots and microlots of coffee, both in terms of varieties and processes.
This boutique coffee, selected directly from the farm by us, has an elegant dark chocolate flavor with a mild acidity. We roast this delicious coffee with its own specific profile ranging from medium to dark, to enhance its balanced flavor.
*According to Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) protocol by SCA Costa Rica, a coffee with a cupping score above 80 is considered a Specialty Coffee by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA).

We are a microentreprise owned by Costa Rican women. Our delicious, specialty coffees are grown by women in Tarrazú, Poás, Naranjo and Sabanilla in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
